These larvae have been slowly dehydrated at a low temperature to preserve their nutritional value and extend their shelf life. They have the same nutritional profile as the Chick Stix product but a different appearance.

40% fat, 25 % protein and 2% calcium (dry matter)

Do I need any prior experience?
No. This course is designed for complete beginners. If you've never kept insects before, that's fine — we start from the very beginning.
When can I start?
Immediately. After your purchase has been completed, you'll receive instructions on how to register and get access to the Welcome and first module.
How long do I have access to the course?
Lifetime. Once you purchase, the content is yours — including any future updates we add.
Is there live support?
Yes. In the Facilitated Program there are weekly group check-ins via Zoom. They are a great opportunity to get personalised support or ask questions to clarify your learning. Also to connect with other BSF Farmers!
What do I need to get started?
To start the course, just access to a computer/mobile phone and internet access.
To start your first BSF farm?
A small outdoor or sheltered space, some basic containers, and access to food scraps. Full equipment guidance is covered in Module 1.
