Week 2 — Breeding & Hatching BSF Eggs
How to start the BSF lifcycle, what equipment is needed to breed and hatch your BSF eggs and ideal environmental conditions for success.
Week 3 — Rearing & Pupation
Explore different BSF farm designs, environmental conditions for growing larvae, troubleshooting and getting ready for pupation.
Week 4 — BSFL Diets & Processing
What to feed your BSFL - how much and how often? How to process your BSFL products after harvest.
Week 5 — Troubleshooting & Good Farm Practices
Diagnosing and fixing common problems and how to keep a happy, healthy and productive BSF farm.

Do I need any prior experience?
No. This course is designed for complete beginners. If you've never kept insects before, that's fine — we start from the very beginning.
What do I need to get started?
A small outdoor or sheltered space, some basic containers, and access to food scraps. Full equipment guidance is covered in the course.
How much time does each week require?
Approximately 2–3 hours per week for learning and live sessions, plus time to implement what you're learning in your own setup.
When does the next cohort start?
The next cohort begins 17 June 2026. Places are limited — secure your spot early.
What if I can't attend a live session?
No stress. You can always add your query to the BSF Farming 101 WhatsApp community exclusive to alumni of the course.
